Superman, already active as a hero, gets caught up in a global conflict that makes people question whether they can trust him. As his reputation is damaged—mainly by the manipulations of Lex Luthor—he has to prove he’s a force for good. Along the way, he struggles to balance his alien Kryptonian origins with his human life as Clark Kent, ultimately choosing what kind of hero he wants to be.
